These effects can disrupt their lives in several ways; they may experience changes in energy levels, sleep, eating patterns, mood as well as general feeling of well-being. The severity of symptoms may vary, putting those affected somewhere on the spectrum of SAD or subsyndromal SAD, often referred to as ‘winter blues’.
