Please note, the Conditions are subject to change at any time and without notice, and it is your responsibility to always check the Conditions before placing any orders, as the Conditions current at the time of your order will apply to your order. If you do not agree with the Conditions set out below, you should not use or access this Website. Your use of our Website constitutes your agreement to follow and be bound by these Conditions.

Your contract for purchases made through lumie.com is with Outside In (Cambridge) Ltd.

To place a valid order for Lumie products on this Website, you must meet the following requirements:
We only use your personal information in accordance with our Privacy Policy. Please take time to read this, as it includes important information which applies to you.
You can order by shopping on this Website by adding the product(s) of choice to your shopping basket. Once you have added everything you need to your shopping basket and clicked ‘checkout’, you’ll need to fill in all of the required information to proceed. When placing an order, you agree that any and all information given is accurate and complete.
All orders are subject to acceptance by us and product availability.
Once you click on ‘place your order’ or ‘continue to PayPal’ your order is final. This means you will have to pay the purchase price. If any of the scenarios for non-acceptance apply (see next paragraph), Lumie may reject or cancel your order in which case we will refund any payment you have made.
Once you have placed your order, you will receive an order confirmation sent to the email address given in your order form. The confirmation email will detail products ordered, payment method, cost, and usual delivery times. You must check that all the details on this confirmation email are correct and contact us as soon as possible if any details are incorrect. Please note that no contract for the sale of any product will exist between you and lumie.com until we accept your order by shipping the product to you. The shipping confirmation email will be sent to the email address given in your order form.
We reserve the right to obtain validation of any credit or debit card details before accepting any order and the right to cancel your order and refund your payment (where applicable) if:
Our prices, delivery charges and the availability of stock are published on the Website. Prices (value and currency) are dependent on the shipping destination you choose. Prices are subject to change at any time. We will inform you if our actual prices and charges are different from those stated on your order form.
The price of a product includes VAT (where applicable) at the applicable current rate chargeable in the country you are shipping to.
It is always possible that, despite our best efforts, some of the products on our site may be incorrectly priced. If we discover an error in the price of the products, we will inform you of this error and we will give you the option of continuing to purchase the product at the correct price or cancelling your order. Please note that if the pricing error is obvious and unmistakable and could have reasonably been recognised by you as a mispricing, we do not have to provide the products to you at the incorrect price.
‘If you live in the UK and have a disability or illness, you do not have to pay VAT on certain products that are of practical help and are for personal or domestic use. SAD (Seasonal Affective Disorder) is an example of a condition that qualifies for VAT relief.
To claim the relief and purchase certain products VAT-free, you must complete the short VAT Relief Declaration by selecting the VAT-free option on the product page, or alternatively at checkout.
When you complete this form, you are agreeing to the Conditions and that you are claiming relief from Value Added Tax under Group 12 of Schedule 8 to the Value Added Tax Act of 1994.
If you are in any doubt as to whether you are eligible to receive goods zero-rated for VAT please drop us a line at info@lumie.com. Please note there are penalties for making false declarations. You can claim VAT relief in the same way if you are buying a product on behalf of someone else who meets the criteria above, but it is only valid on products shipping to the UK.

Changing and cancelling orders
As we start to process your order as soon as we receive it, we are unable to change it in most cases. Please can contact us ASAP on info@lumie.com with your request. We will try our best to adjust this for you, however in most cases you’ll need to return the order to us after receiving it.
By law, you have a cooling-off period. This is the right to cancel any purchase and receive a full refund. To cancel an order, you need to let us know that you have decided to cancel by contacting our Customer Care Team on info@lumie.com up to 14 working days from the day after you receive the order. Please ensure you include your order number. You will receive written confirmation of the cancellation of your order within 1-2 working days.
Please note we reserve the right to deduct sums for any deterioration in the product caused by the consumer.

We appreciate that if you are new to light therapy, you might be a bit sceptical. When you buy directly from Lumie, our 45-day trial gives you the chance to try a Lumie in a risk-free way.

Faulty Product(s)
If your product appears faulty, please email our Customer Care Team at info@lumie.com and let us know about the fault you’re experiencing. You will hear back from us in 1-2 working days.
You are responsible for returning the faulty products to Lumie (unless otherwise notified by Lumie to you). Freight and insurance shall be prepaid by you and Lumie accepts no risk in respect of products which are being returned.
If you are returning a defective product under the Warranty, we will repair or replace (with either new or factory refurbished products) any defective product. Lumie shall inspect the returned product and Lumie’s decision on whether the product is faulty or defective shall be final. We aim to ship your repaired or replacement product(s) within 5 -10 working days from the day we receive the faulty product(s).

To find out more about our return policies, please see "What you need to do if you want to return a product" above. To return a product, log your return request by emailing our Customer Care Team at info@lumie.com. You will receive written confirmation of the receipt of your return request within 1-2 working days. Included will be the details on how to return your product(s), and, if applicable, a free returns label will be provided to you.
Please note we may not be able to supply a free returns label in some instances. These include, but are not limited to:
a) the product(s) logged on the return request require(s) shipping from a country outside of the Lumie Service Region
b) the product(s) was (were) purchased more than six months before logging the return request.
If you are returning a product(s) for which we were unable to supply a free returns label, the product(s) must then be returned to us securely in the original packaging to one of the following addresses. If:

In this instance, it is your responsibility to pay for the return, preferably by Recorded Delivery for safety. We shall accept no risk in respect of products which are being returned.
Where applicable, we'll give you a full refund as soon as we receive and process your return. Unless otherwise notified by Lumie, you should expect to see a credit to your account within 5 – 10 working days.

However, there may be occasions when information contained on our site may contain incomplete data, typographical errors, or inaccuracies. We do not warrant that the information accessible via this Website is accurate, complete, or current. Any errors are unintentional, and we apologise if any information on the site is inaccurate. We reserve the right to correct errors and to update product information at any time, including after you have placed your order. We reserve the right to change prices of any product at any time.
Except where prohibited by law, in no event will Lumie be liable to you for any indirect, consequential, exemplary, incidental or punitive damages, including lost profits, even if Lumie has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
If, notwithstanding the other provisions of these Terms and Conditions, Lumie is found to be liable to you for any damage or loss which arises out of or is in any way connected with your use of the site or any content, Lumie’s liability shall in no event exceed the amount paid by you for the product(s), unless otherwise required by law.
The limitations in this section shall not affect your statutory rights as a consumer.
We will not be liable or responsible for any failure to perform, or delay in performance of, any of our obligations under a Contract that is caused by an Event Outside Our Control. An Event Outside Our Control is defined below.
An "Event Outside Our Control" means any act or event beyond our reasonable control, including but without limitation to, adverse weather conditions (such as snow, flood, storms), strikes or industrial action, civil commotion, riot, invasion, terrorist attack or threat or consequences of terrorist attack, war (whether declared or not) or threat or preparation for war, fire, explosion, earthquake, subsidence, epidemic or other natural disaster, road traffic accidents and road closures.
If an Event Outside Our Control takes place that affects the performance of our obligations under a Contract, we will contact you as soon as reasonably possible to notify you.
Please note that these Conditions are governed by English law. This means a Contract for the purchase of products through our site and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with it will be governed by English law. You and we both agree to that the courts of England and Wales will have non-exclusive jurisdiction. However, if you are a resident of Northern Ireland, you may also bring proceedings in Northern Ireland, and if you are a resident of Scotland, you may also bring proceedings in Scotland.
